Rinnai is Waialae Plumbing & Construction’s primary brand for gas tankless water-heater installations. Propane and natural-gas equipment can be considered for Honolulu and Oʻahu properties when the system and site requirements are suitable.

A compact heater. A property-specific plan.
Rinnai’s range includes condensing and non-condensing gas tankless models. The SENSEI RX shown here is a manufacturer example—not a model recommendation or confirmation of Waialae stock.
Start with demand, fuel supply, venting, and access. Waialae primarily installs Rinnai gas tankless equipment and will review the appropriate scope for your property.

Gas tankless equipment heats water on demand rather than maintaining a large stored supply. Output still needs to match simultaneous use.
Wall-mounted equipment offers a different footprint from a storage tank. Clearances, venting, and service access remain essential.
Some models offer recirculation features. Availability, accessories, and plumbing requirements depend on the chosen model.
A manufacturer illustration shows the wall-mounted format. This is not a Waialae installation photograph; the location and configuration must be assessed for your property.

Why Waialae offers Rinnai gas tankless systems
Rinnai is our primary gas tankless installation brand. For suitable properties, we can assess propane and natural-gas options and explain the requirements before equipment is selected. The advantage for a customer is a focused discussion of gas tankless equipment and installation requirements—not an assumption that a tankless system is right for everyone.
We review demand, fuel supply, equipment compatibility, and the installation scope before recommending a model. This page does not guarantee a particular level of savings, hot-water output, price, warranty, or installation date.
Replacing equipment versus converting from a tank
Replacing an existing gas tankless water heater
Tell the office the existing brand, model if known, fuel type, and symptoms. Existing connections and the proposed replacement need to be reviewed; equipment availability and compatibility must be confirmed.
Converting from a tank-style water heater
A conversion is not necessarily a direct swap. Gas supply, venting, water connections, expected flow, and site conditions affect the plan. Start with our water-heater installation and replacement service before buying equipment.
Propane, natural gas, and electric tankless are different decisions
Waialae installs gas tankless equipment with propane or natural-gas options where appropriate. The correct fuel configuration and property requirements need to be verified for the selected equipment.
Electric tankless work is a separate offering: Waialae primarily replaces existing electric tankless units and generally starts by seeking a compatible same-brand replacement. We do not broadly recommend new electric tankless conversions.
Tankless service and repair requests
Already have a tankless heater that is not working properly? Visit water-heater service and repair and share the brand, model if known, fuel type, symptoms, and when the issue started. The office confirms whether your equipment is within the service scope. We do not claim every tankless brand or model is covered.
Help for an existing Rinnai tankless water heater
For loss of hot water, changing water temperature, or a displayed error code, request a water-heater service assessment. Tell us the model, fuel type, symptoms, and any visible code if you can read it safely. Do not open the unit, change gas settings, or repeatedly reset a fault to keep it operating.
Routine maintenance requirements depend on the model, water conditions, and manufacturer instructions. Ask about the appropriate service scope for your existing equipment; diagnosis, parts availability, and any warranty eligibility must be confirmed.
Questions before choosing Rinnai
Is a gas tankless system right for my property?
That depends on demand, utilities, connections, and site requirements. An assessment is needed before equipment can be recommended.
Can I get a firm installation price from the brand name alone?
No. The selected model, access, fuel supply, venting, connections, removal requirements, and approved scope affect the estimate. Share your existing equipment details so the office can arrange the appropriate next step.
